Resident support funds.

Eligibility

• The resident must currently reside in an AARR-certified, NARR-accredited recovery residence.
• Each application requires a single signature from the designated staff member representing the organization — typically the person completing the form.

What funds can cover

• Indigent bed fees — Up to $40 per day for a maximum of 20 days, reimbursed post-occupancy. Exceptions require special request and Executive Team approval.
• Resident documentation — IDs, birth certificates, and other essential paperwork.
• Employment readiness — Work-related necessities such as boots or uniforms.
• Other critical needs — Reviewed case-by-case when clearly tied to a documented recovery goal.

Funds may not be used for

• General operational or administrative expenses, including staff wages and capital improvements.
• Any cost not tied to a specific resident's documented recovery need.

Funding limits

• Annual funding caps may apply per residence to ensure equitable distribution.
• No single residence will receive disproportionate funds at the expense of others.

Accountability & reporting

• All approved disbursements are documented in AARR's financial records.
• Misuse of funds or failure to comply with these guidelines may result in suspension of funding eligibility.

Supporting documentation & spot audits

AARR does not require supporting documentation at the point of application. However, AARR will conduct spot audits on fund recipients to verify compliance. Recipients are responsible for maintaining appropriate records, including proof of residency and supporting documentation for every point of information provided on the application.
